Hello! I’m Nic, the author of this blog. Is this how one introduces a blog? How would Carrie from Sex in the City write this…anyway, I’m getting distracted. I decided that diary entries, junk journal spreads and a log of crafting ideas needed to exist outside of my head. So i’ve created a blog.
I know in this day and age, most people would go to Tik Tok, or at least instagram for this sort of thing. But short bursts of info dumping isn’t what I’m looking for. I seriously want to go the most analog route in the digital space, and to me, that’s what a blog is. Yes, I said what I said. It makes sense to me, okay?
Now, I’m a child of the late 90’s (yes, i’m dating myself as if starting a blog isn’t doing that already) and to me, the 90’s and early 2000’s were the PEAK age of whimsy. That’s what I’m basing this blog on. Basically anything from witchcraft and woo woo to actual crafting (get it? whichcraft? okay I’ll see myself out) but also thought pieces on fashion of today and how it compares the 90’s/ 2000’s (everything is cyclical as my mom would say). On the topic of crafting, I want to try out different crafts as I am a serial hobbyist with a touch of perfectionism. Maybe testing crafts as a science experiment will help me get over the “if I’m not immediately good at it I can’t spend time on it”.
There will probably be more topics and categories BECAUSE IT’S MY BLOG AND I’LL DO WHAT I WANT. Sorry, sorry didn’t mean to yell, I got excited. But I hope this evolves and changes and who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired by some crafts or learn something new.
